RHOD’s leading lady LeeAnne Locken has filmed season 2. The reality show covers her 2016 surgery (and a related infection in Mexico). The Real Housewives of Dallas star goes back under the knife today.

“I’m having surgery tomorrow,” Locken tells FemmeFoyer last night. She laughs it off with late-night humor, “May be a day before I post again. Just so you don’t think I’ve been kidnapped.”

LeeAnne’s light-hearted look at life is complemented by her love for dogs. “Animals are my heart string,” she says. “I’m still working with the SPCA in Dallas.”

FemmeFoyer currently volunteers PR services with Canadian Intervention and Assistance Dogs (launching Spring 2017). Dogs keep people sane, she agrees.

Filming (and watching) RHOD inspired LeeAnne to enter anger management. Her appearance and apologies at last year’s Reunion were nothing short of awesome. Locken’s Instagram reveals a more polished and positive woman. She finds comfort in her dogs.

“I have a little black and white rat terrier and a little beagle who loves to cuddle,” says the RHOD. “Only two and they sleep with us.”

Perhaps sleeping with dogs is the secret to a successful relationship. LeeAnne and partner Rich Emberlin recently celebrated their 8th anniversary.

Acceptance and sharing are important to Locken.  Inspiring victims and volunteers everywhere, she takes the time to address her own issues and those of others. “I was sexually abused by my best friend’s father for 8 years as a child,” the Bravo star says. “Life! It’s a four letter word.”

Locken posts on her blog/website today, “I am not afraid. I was born to do this.”

LeeAnne teases viewers about Season 2 of RHOD.

And shares photos from an upcoming RHOD dog party.

Locken’s inspirations include her grandmother and God. “My Grandmother was my everything,” she says. “YOU were created by God! You will always be HIS CHILD!”

Before heading to bed LeeAnne leaves FemmeFoyer with something to give back:

“Stay strong! You are worthy and loved! Thank you for being my friend.”

RHOD Season 2 is slated to premiere on Bravo this Spring.
